Chia seeds are an excellent superfood, great source of fiber and are packed with omega-3. There are so many benefits to consuming Chia seeds and the best part about it is the seeds do not have to be broken down for your little one to absorb all the nutrients. Try this quick and easy recipe for a healthy snack:
Ingredients:
-1/2 cup chia seeds
-1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
-2 cup Vanilla Almond milk
Instructions:
-In a medium bowl add in the Chia seeds, Almond milk and vanilla extract
-Mix all the ingredients with a spoon until well blended
-Let it sit for 1-2 minutes and then mix again
-Put a top on container and refrigerate overnight
There are many variations to this Chia Seed pudding which makes it super versatile. You can substitute the almond milk for any other milk whether it’s coconut milk or dairy. You can also add in a variety of fresh fruit such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, kiwi or banana. Mix it up and keep your little one guessing the flavor of the day!
This recipe is not only good for babies but can be enjoyed by Adults too! I am constantly snacking on this as a healthy pregnancy snack, as well!
