One of our favorite local restaurants we love going to as a family is Lombardo’s in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Their menu has something for everyone! The food is always exceptional and staff is SO friendly. We had the pleasure of being invited for dinner and as always, the food exceeded our expectations.
A remark I always get is, “you bring your kids to fancy restaurants with you!?” And my answer is a firm “Yes”! My Husband and I enjoy going out to eat often and especially love going with the whole gang. We got our kids to understand what’s expected as restaurant behavior since they were young and seems to pay of now. Early on, we taught our kids what we expected of them at restaurants. They know if they misbehave, they will not get to join us. With that being said, they are still young and don’t have too long of an attention span so we do our part and bring things to keep them occupied once their bellies are full.
The kids had their favorite Pasta fagioli. A classic Italian soup with small tubular shaped pasta, white and red cannellini beans with a touch of fresh crushed plum tomato, roasted garlic, and extra virgin olive oil. Loaded with flavor, no wonder they love it.
They are known for their Mozzarella di Casa which is homemade mozzarella with flame roasted peppers, sliced tomatoes and prosciutto. It literally melts in your mouth. All of their vegetables are locally grown and freshness is on another level. The pizza is authentic and they offer a variety of dishes. Whether you are a seafood lover, carb lover or craving a healthy salad, you will not be disappointed. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything we’ve had has been delicious.
Do yourself a favor and order their Kobe Beef Meatball. Definitely one of the best meatballs my Husband and I had in a long time. 16 ounces of veal and Italian sausage in a tomato & basil sauce topped with fresh whipped ricotta.
